Johnnie Day of Service: People Serving People
Join Twin Cities alumni, parents and friends in the inaugural Johnnie Day of Service on Saturday, May 3.
Alumni, parents and friends are invited to volunteer at People Serving People (PSP) in Minneapolis. Choose between two volunteer opportunities at PSP:
Service and partnership with others is integral to Saint John’s University. The Benedictine Values of hospitality, justice and respect for persons are vital for every human being. Join Johnnies around the country as we practice these values, give back to the local community and connect with area Johnnie alumni, parents and friends.
- Building Beautification from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (up to 10 volunteers). Assist the housekeeping department with duties including general upkeep of the building and donation sorting.
- Children Activity Time from 2-3 p.m. (up to 10 volunteers). Help People Serving People’s staff facilitate age appropriate games, crafts, and group activities with children 3-17 (mainly elementary aged children).
